Birthday Cuz

Our little doll of a niece Mae had her 6th Birthday!
What the...what??
I remember holding her on my chest while she slept as a new born, so her mommy could get some much needed sleep!
Now she's a sweet, artistic, friendly, tender, creative, smart, beautiful little girl.
I love her to bits!
She had a Lalaloopsy Birthday party, and it was so cute!
The girls had a lot of fun decorating their Lalaloopsy paper doll, opening gifts, and eating sparkly cupcakes.
Check out their Lalaloopsy masks!
Happy Birthday, Mae girl.
We think you're pretty special :)

I wouldn't want to ruin such a fun Birthday post by telling you about the stomach bug we all caught the next day.
Nope...I wouldn't do that.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Around 7:30pm dad walked through the door for dinner.
He made us promise not to celebrate his Birthday until Sunday,
because he didn't have time stop working on our house long enough to sing happy birthday!
Yeah... right!  As if the children could wait that long.
So, ON HIS BIRTHDAY, they helped me hang balloons, make dad's favorite dinner (7 layer burritos), and put candles in his strawberry cheesecake (every year!).
We thought dad would never get home for dinner!
But, when he finally did, we ambushed him :)
I think it made him pretty happy...
It was simple.
That's how it goes when you live in chaos...
But, we love our dad/JP and wanted him to know it!
Happy Birthday to our favorite!
We're so glad you were born.

They've got rhythm, wouldn't you say?

Love and appreciate you, JP XOXO

Happy Birthday To Me!

I don't think I've had such a fun Birthday since I was a youngin'!!
Mr. JP woke up around 5AM to blow up balloons and string them up around the house, hang a Birthday banner and write me a love note.
It was pretty romantic and made me giddy all day!

{Sport had way too much fun pulling the balloons down after the party}

THEN he arrived home from work with dinner, so I wouldn't have to cook on my Birthday.
He even remembered the cake...and my sister (It just wouldn't be complete without her and her lil' family).

All of my babies sang to me....
And showered me with sweet gifts...

A mushy card from my sister and a gift card just for ME,
A paper airplane from my little Sport with "I LOVE MOM" written on the inside,
A pretty blue necklace from my Princess,
Some awesome leaf earrings from my baby girl Minnie,
AND an iphone with this happy picture to greet me on it's screen :)
Which explains why my phone wouldn't work ALL day, and the husband's e-mails informing me that our phone company was having some technical issues, and to just e-mail him if I needed anything.
Yes...he loves me.
(And I think he was a little tired of dropped calls and lost text messages from my poor, beat up, old phone)
I'm pretty excited!!!
Although, I have this very real fear that one of my children will shatter the screen by throwing it against a wall/pavement, or drowning it in the toilet!
I will do my best to keep it out of reach.
But, they are sneaky little boogers!

I'm already having way too much fun with it.
Thank you, love!
I'm feeling older...
But, look what I have to show for my life so far!
They bring me so much joy.

I love you, mom.
Thank you for giving me a Birthday!

A Surprise Party!

You should have seen her face when she walked through the party streamers and saw Great Grandma Diana's dining room completely decked out for her Birthday!
Minnie was absolutely glowing.
Her and her little brother Timmy's birthday landed on the same weekend we were visiting Arizona,
so Great Grandma Diana and Grandma Palmer surprised them with a party!
Thank you, Grandma's!!  You made their Birthdays special this year.

Minnie thought her little doggy cake was the cutest cake ever!
And check out that antique party hat! She was so eager to put it on.
The things we find in Great Grandma's house...It's filled with all kinds of treasures.
Her cake really was adorable...
Little Timmy wasn't sure what to think about all the noise...
But, he was pretty delighted with his cake!
He wanted to chew the colorful balloons on top.
Happy Birthday, baby boy!
Since my camera broke THE DAY BEFORE!! Booooo!
Mr. JP used his phone to snap a few pictures.
He managed to record some video too!

Minnie got a cowgirl and horsey from Grandpa and Grandma to add to her collection!
She loves pony's these days, so she was pretty excited.
It's become the favorite toy between the girls when they play dolls.
Timmy chewed on the balloons from his cake while Sport unwrapped his presents.
He got a train that pops balls out the top from Grandpa and Grandma!
Cars, balls and noise are his most favorite things.
So this was the perfect gift for him!
Pretty girls checking out Minnie's new toys!
Sport and Grandpa John watching the kids examine their goodies...
Minnie got a Minnie Mouse balloon headband from Great Grandpa John and Grandma Diana!
She had so much fun with it.
The Grandma's that did it all!
They are pretty amazing.
Thanks to you both :)
Not sure what's going on here...
It's a party!!
Great Grandma Diana surprised the children with about 20 bottles of silly string!!
Then gave them the okay to destroy her yard.
And they did!
It was a blast!!  Let me tell you.
I don't think they have every been given full rein with silly string before.
They went crazy!

{Grandpa showing Minnie how to spray the string...}
Sport getting creative with two cans of silly string...
Mae Mae saving a few cans for later...
Sport and his daddy went to battle.
Sport got it in the head, but he claims he got dad in the chest first!
A can backfired on Ashley!
Eeeww...we aren't sure what that black stuff was.
Bummer.
Uncle Matt became a favorite target!
He took it like the cool uncle that he is...
Oh, what fun!
They were completely covered from head to toe in silly string.
{Princess wore that cow"girl" costume most of the time we were there.  She felt legit!}
Thank you for making our little Minnie and Timmy's day so great!

{Yup! She was pretty thrilled by the whole thing and still talks about it :)}

Birthday Girl & Boy

We are getting ready for a little road trip.
The warmth of family and the sunshine of Arizona is calling our name :)
We can hardly wait to get there!

But before we go, we have two Birthdays to celebrate!
These two lucky kids get to be sung to twice this year.
That's what happens when you have Grandparents and family on both sides that love ya!
Minnie has a 'thing' for pony's.
So her choice of cake was My Little Pony...and she thought it was "soooooo cute!!!!"
Our baby boy turned one!!
I can hardly believe it.
He was more fascinated with the flame then he was the cupcake...
Big brother and cousin Chase helping out...
Hm... not really his thing I guess.
Banging the spoon was a lot more fun.
He also preferred to be spoon-fed his cupcake!
What a party-pooper...
So many cousins came to their little party.
Thank you for making it fun!
Present time!!
Thank you for the Lego's, Grandpa John and Grandma Edie!
Minnie spent hours assembling and reassembling them.
Who knew she would be so good at it?
The movie BRAVE!!
Something to entertain the children on our long drive.
YES!  Thank you, Mae Mae!
Do you think she was excited??
The Pony Wedding Castle she'd been hoping for.
She's a happy girl!
It didn't take long for little Timmy to figure out how to tear the paper off, especially with big brother's help...
He loooooves trucks and cars of any kind!
These are especially cool, because they make lots of noise.
What was I thinking??
He wasn't sure what to think about all the attention he was getting...

Thank you for sharing their big day with us!

Here are a couple of video clips for the Grandparents:

Such a cute Birthday girl...

Not the happiest Birthday boy...
I think he was a little overwhelmed!
