It's become a fun family Christmas tradition!
This year we destroyed my sister's house in the process :) Thanks, Cam!
We usually decorate gingerbread houses, but these gingerbread cookies were too cute to pass up!
The children loved them...
We got a kick out of their creations.
Too cute!
Princess put glasses on her blond gingerbread girl with heart earrings.
(Yes, she's already asking to wear earrings. I remember asking my dad to let me pierce my ears around her age and feeling so hurt when he said no! Now I get to be the meanie. She'll thank me later?)
Our feast...
It didn't last long. Yum!
The children felt so special with their own little party glasses...
I'm not sure where I went wrong this year, but telling the nativity story was absolute chaos!
The kids were just way too excited about dancing with their nativity character and talking/singing at the top of their lungs.
When Sport beheaded one of the wise men I nearly lost it!!
All of the adults had to cover their mouths so the children wouldn't see or hear them laughing hysterically at the disaster!
Oh well. We managed to get through the Nativity eventually...headless wise man and all.
Sport told us the story again during the drive home, so they must have gotten something out of it!
Sport... surrounded by little girls!
He loves 'em.
It's tradition to open one gift on Christmas Eve.
He loves 'em.
It's tradition to open one gift on Christmas Eve.
It's their favorite part, of course!
But, Uncle Seth tortured the kids by making them sing Christmas songs before receiving a gift.
I think it was the only time we enjoyed a little peace!
They worked so hard for those presents...and never took their eyes off the prize :)
Baby Timmy chewed on his until the soggy wrapping just fell off.
Sport was psyched to get Angry Bird PJ's!
Our cute boy with dad in his submarine PJ's...
(He LOVES PJ's and gets so excited whenever we put them on. I don't blame him! I would wear my PJ's all day if I could. Most days I do!)
Showing off their new PJ's!!
Us moms get just as excited to see them on our cute kids.
By the time we got back home, the children were exhausted!
Even though they were SO anxious for Christmas morning, their eyelids wouldn't stay open.
Which was a good thing for dad and mom, because we had work to do!
We pulled out our goodies, started a Christmas movie, and had way too much fun wrapping and placing the gifts around our "leaning" Christmas tree.
The Mr. and I could hardly stand it!
We just couldn't wait to see their little faces when they woke up!
Happens to us every year :)
I love a cozy, quiet house.
Ever since I was a little girl, I tip toe into the living room after everyone falls asleep, and sit in front of the tree.
The warm, lit up room makes me feel so happy and safe.
