Battle Of The Seasons

One day we're having a grand time playing in the leaves at Grandmas,
soaking in the warm sunshine...
{The kids had a hay day gathering handfuls of leaves and tossing them in the air...}

{Once little Timmy got the hang of it, there was no way mom was going to talk him out of those leaves...}

The next, we're dancing in the beautiful, fluffy snow and cranking the heater up to thaw our shivering bones!
What will tomorrow bring?

Silly-Fun Halloweeners

Phew! What a day.
What a GREAT day!
We played from sun-up to sun-down.
Mom is tuckered out!
And the children are still running wild.
{A Cowboy, Cowgirl, Racer, Bumblebee, Witch, & Dragon}

Ready for the spooky festivities!

First Halloween for our little Timmy!
He had a good ol' time.
All smiles from our green dragon...
I spent the day at school with the children decorating cookies, making crafts, playing games, and snapping pictures during the costume parade.
It was so much fun!
(I couldn't have done it all without the help of my amazing husband and awesome sister. Thank You!)
After school we headed to dad's work to trick-or-treat around the creepy offices.
Of course, bucket loads of candy just wasn't enough, so we hit up our neighborhood for a little more.
Thank goodness we handed it right back out to the friends that rang our door-bell :)
Pictures to come!

In the meantime, here are a couple of favorites I took at our ward (church) Halloween party from last weekend.
We had a BLAST.
I've got to say, we know some of the coolest people in the world!
{Girlie friends}

Trying to eat those doughnuts!
I think T.'s beating Sport!
The girls eventually gave up and used their fists...
Cowboy dad manning the doughnuts...
Big smiles...
They won the cutest costume(s) award and felt pretty special!
Sport said there was something nasty in that mystery box!
Not planned, but once again...twinners!
The cowboys...SO Hot.
The bumblebees chillin' with Captain America after trick-or-treating with the primary...
What a pretty Indian...said the Racer :)

The Racer trying to take down his Ninja friend!
{Sport & Cade}

Clean up time...
 Sport's daddy taught him well!
Yummy food, fun games, and great friends.
We love our ward family!

Happy Halloween!

A Warm Saturday

This past week has been sooooo cold!
We even got snow!
And it's only going to get colder here in the mountains.
I'm totally not ready for it!
I nearly cried...and was a big baby about the white powder covering our green grass.
But, I can't help it!
I know we need the moisture.
Sometimes I just wish I wasn't such a warm body.
I need my heat and sunshine!

Anyway... after a long, wet, cold week, we were pretty excited to see the sun come out and feel it's warmth over the weekend.
The children spent the whole day with cousins and friends outside!
They collected bugs and worms while digging in the dirt.
Princess found a giant locust that captured everyone's attention...
Bro's...I rarely find one without the other!
She was fascinated.
It was a fight to get it back from her big brother!

The cold and snow is inevitable.
And I'm always grateful for it when spring comes covered in bright green and colorful blossoms.
 But, I'm praying for a few more weekends like this before winter hits full swing!
Watching the children dig in the dirt on a warm day is one of my favorite things :)

Her First Field Trip

Such an exciting day for our Minnie!
She went on her first Pre-school field trip to Pumpkin Land and felt so big and special.
It was a pretty great day for me too, because I got to spend it with her!
{This is my favorite birdie, mom!}

Singing to the big witch stirring her brew...

Getting ready to go down the pumpkin slide!

 Look who we ran into! Cousin Mae was on a field trip at the same time we were.
I heard, "Aunt Sarah, Aunt Sarah!! Oh my gosh! What are you doing here??"
And then her little arms wrapped around me and my heart melted.
I adore these girls!!

My happy little boy enjoying the sunshine!

The cat and the pumpkin...

Did she have a good time?
Her cheese says it all!

Her favorite pumpkin!
She'll get to decorate it at school for Halloween...

 Our Minnie is a ray of sunshine.

After pre-school, she was super excited to show us her pumpkin face!
Love it.

The Red Barn

I got to spend the whole morning with my little girl!
Just her and me...with about 60 other Kinders.
We had a lot of fun bouncing in the hay ride, hunting for the best apples to eat in the apple orchard, finding our way through the apple-crate maze, flying down the HUGE slide, hunting for the biggest pumpkins we could carry, and eating delicious cake donuts with sprinkles.
The most important thing was I got to play with my Princess without anyone else fighting for my attention :)
{Princess with her little girl friend in front of The Red Barn (miniature size)}

Riding with her fellow Kinder class out to the apple orchards and pumpkin patch...
Searching for the best apples for mom and her...
Getting ready to fly down the big slide...
There she goes!

Definitely a highlight!
She probably slid down the slide ten tines.
Mr. and Mrs. Rowley...
We found all kinds of awesome pumpkins!!
But, it took forever to find the perfect one for Princess.
She was looking for a "cute little round pumpkin"...
She found two prospects!
Which one will it be?
{The one in her left hand won the debate. It was perfect!}
After the apple crate maze, she took a picture with her class and then loaded up in the wagon for a hay ride!
"Hey, mom!  Look, I'm listening for the ocean through the hay!"-said Princess with a handful of hay next to her ear.
Such a goof!  Cracks me up.

 I enjoyed every second I got to spend with her.
Mom loves you, sweetie XOXO
