Teacher's Helper

What a bummer to have to miss out on recess because of stitches!
Princess missed swinging on the monkey bars more then anything.
But, she has the sweetest teacher that made sure she felt special anyway.
Miss G. asked her to organize the desks, sharpen pencils, stack books...etc. with her.
Princess loves to be a helper, so this made her feel very important :)
She enjoyed her time with Miss G. and was actually sad to see it go after spending a week by her side!

We've been very fortunate to have had caring teachers in our children's lives.
Thanks to Miss G. for turning a sad week into a happy one!

"Hi Sarah!

Olivia and  I have been having tons of fun!  The nice thing about kids is that they LOVE to help and are so willing to do anything.  Today she found homes for lost pencils and crayons and helped get our Nursery Rhyme books ready!  I took a photo so you could see.  I don’t know what I’m going to do when she gets to go back out and play!

See you next week!

Miss G."

{That's my girl!}

The moment she gets her homework done after school,
Princess is right back to playing dress-up with her little sister.
I don't want these days of make-believe to go away.
She's growing so much faster then Sport did!
At least, it feels that way.

Pain In The Payne Home

Hold onto your lunch!...if you can.
These pictures make me queasy.
We've had enough head trauma in the past two weeks to make a mom crazy!
Princess headbutted the glass soap dispenser while in the bathtub and split her head open.
Blood spurted everywhere...and she screamed in sheer panic.
We knew immediately that a butterfly band-aid wasn't going to do the trick this time!
An instacare visit and four stitches later, she was smiling again.
Minnie tripped on the scooter and banged up her head on the cement tiles.
It could have been worse!
Sport snuck dads hammer out of his tool box and went to work hammering nails.
A bloody head was the result of flying the hammer back too far...
It almost re-opened his last head wound!
This one didn't need stitches...I'm counting my blessings.
We did have to give Sport a soldier hair cut to clean the gash in his head.
He was okay with that!
Mr. Tough Guy.

How did we ever survive childhood?
