The Red Barn

I got to spend the whole morning with my little girl!
Just her and me...with about 60 other Kinders.
We had a lot of fun bouncing in the hay ride, hunting for the best apples to eat in the apple orchard, finding our way through the apple-crate maze, flying down the HUGE slide, hunting for the biggest pumpkins we could carry, and eating delicious cake donuts with sprinkles.
The most important thing was I got to play with my Princess without anyone else fighting for my attention :)
{Princess with her little girl friend in front of The Red Barn (miniature size)}

Riding with her fellow Kinder class out to the apple orchards and pumpkin patch...
Searching for the best apples for mom and her...
Getting ready to fly down the big slide...
There she goes!

Definitely a highlight!
She probably slid down the slide ten tines.
Mr. and Mrs. Rowley...
We found all kinds of awesome pumpkins!!
But, it took forever to find the perfect one for Princess.
She was looking for a "cute little round pumpkin"...
She found two prospects!
Which one will it be?
{The one in her left hand won the debate. It was perfect!}
After the apple crate maze, she took a picture with her class and then loaded up in the wagon for a hay ride!
"Hey, mom!  Look, I'm listening for the ocean through the hay!"-said Princess with a handful of hay next to her ear.
Such a goof!  Cracks me up.

I enjoyed every second I got to spend with her.
Mom loves you, sweetie XOXO

Fun On Grandpa & Grandma's Farm

The country life for us!
The kids were in kid heaven.
I use to love playing at the river...
There's so much to explore!
They begged dad every day to take them on a hike to the river...
These grow beds will be overflowing with fruits and veggies come Spring!
Waiting for Uncle Matt to let off the rocket he got for Christmas...
The husband making movies!
Sport thinks Uncle Matt has the coolest toys!!!
Getting ready to light the fuse...
This poor little kitty got loved to death by the girls during our visit...
They took her everywhere they went.
Minnie collected all these huge mushrooms from the woods and brought them home to eat!
Taking a time out from all their exploring...
Once again, fighting over who got the kitty.
We finally had to put a time limit on it before they squeezed the poor thing too hard...
Totally cool chicken feather, Mae Mae!!
That was such a sweet kitty cat.  She put up with a lot!
Building towers out of Grandpas wood scraps...
Uncle Matt getting ready to load up the fire place for us!
He's awesome like that.
If we couldn't find the kids, we would check this tree.
They were usually in it.
The tree house is another favorite place to play...
I always wanted one as a little girl!
Sport could usually be found in the woods playing with his uncles, building a dam in the creek,
Or begging for a chance to shoot the Airsoft guns.
Uncle Matt running the girls back up the hill from the chicken coop (He's so cool)!
They liked to sneak down there and play with the chicks any chance they could...P.J.'s or not.
The boys played a lot of basketball!
(Is it in?  Is it in??)
Trying to guard 7+ ft. bro Ben is a work out!
Everybody stand back!  Ammon's got this...
Check out the size of that snapping turtle!
Mom worried it was going to take a finger off...
The kids thought he was totally awesome.
A family "pet"...
Nature is the best babysitter.
How I will miss it!

Critters

Just a few they found on the farm...
May-June 2010
Princess loved the little kittens!
We're just so glad the kittens lived through all the attention :)
Sport had a bug on the leaf on the feather! And...yes, that's a snake!
Minnie begged (yelled) to hold the slithering thing.  I think she just thought it was a really cool toy!
Sport wanted to keep the snake...and the spider, as pets.  I'm glad Grandma said no so that I (mom) wouldn't have to be the bad guy!
Check out that lizard!  And he could jump!  We quickly learned that after he escaped his bucket in the house a few times... yikes.
There was NO WAY we were going to convince Minnie to get near that lizard. She screamed in terror every time Sport got near her with the bucket. It quickly became Sport's favorite game!
Sport loved his lizard...and his worm...
That's what Grandpa and Grandma kill every day in the garden, for eating their tomato plants.  But, Sport rescued the ugly thing and made him his pet!  The sweetness of children...
Playing with the kittens...
See what I mean?  Those poor things were lucky to survive!  But, these girls adored them.
We learned that Minnie has a fear of some (most) of the little critters we found in Arkansas. Poor girl got teased a lot because of it...
