Take A Hike!

The kids were so excited for their big hiking adventure with dad.
They had no idea what they were in for...
They started up the mountain in good spirits...
Sport had his back pack filled with supplies (Mr. prepared)
and the girls gathered hiking sticks...
Almost there!
Nearing the top, behind Squaw Peak...
Our little adventurers...
Stopping for a snack on top of the world!

Dad with his biggest fans...
They made it to the top!
A little worn out...
The view was breathtaking!
I love the Utah mountains in the Spring...
YAY!  Check out these muscles...
Feeling pretty powerful!
Snow can be found in Utah year round.
They were super excited to find some and cool off!
Playing with dad at the top!
The moon says it's time to head home...
Taking a break in a field of leafy greens...
Dad decided to take a detour on the way home and ended up climbing all the way over the mountain before landing in Spanish Fork!
They weren't expecting such a long, tiring adventure...
But, it was worth it.  Especially when they found their lizard friend!
A baby Eastern Fence Lizard...
So cute!
We kept Mr. Speedy for a few days, before letter him run home.

It's That Time Again!

We love to garden with the kids.
It's been a great time to work together, relieve stress, laugh, and get dirty!
This year Sport sifted all our soil with dad.
It was hard work, but totally worth it!
APRIL-
The girls helped collect all the rocks.
I swear the rocks grow as fast as weeds!
We can't seem to be rid of them.
After all that sifting, JP added the saw-dust.
He mixed our soil every evening until dark!
Yup...I love this man.
And he loves playing in the dirt.
Once the soil was ready, I got to play!
I love planting the seeds and plants.
There's just something about helping things grow that makes me happy.
By June we started seeing green.
It was a beautiful sight!

Babies Of Our Own

My childhood friend had a beautiful baby girl!
She's such a doll.
I couldn't get enough of her.
We swapped babies while we caught up on the latest :)
It's hard to believe that we use to run around barefoot and tell boys they had cooties.
You're a beeeeautiful mommy, Kristen!

After visiting with friends, our family made a pit stop at Chilis!
It must have been our lucky night, because the kids were happy, our waiter was awesome, and the food was tasty.

(Our babies hanging out in the car while we waited to be seated)
Just chillin' with dad...

Good times!

Taking 5

A rainy day with cooped up kids means every mom in the county headed to the mall!
Despite the crowds, we managed to find the ice cream and an empty table.
All is well that ends well!

Easter Sunday

What a beautiful morning it was!
The sun was shining, the kids were happy, and we even had enough time to take a quick snap shot before church.
I have no idea how I got so lucky.
I'm just grateful :)
I love Timmy's evil glare here.  HaHa!
He had already formulated the plan to poop through his cute onesie at church.
Our handsome boys and lovely girls...
I just love his grin.
It brightens our world!
I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to my Savior Jesus Christ.
I feel undeserving of his love and many blessings.
I hope to return home to his presence, unashamed.
Because of his atoning sacrifice, I know I can try and try again...
and one day see those that have gone on before,
having been resurrected with all I love and hold dear.

Egg Hunt

As you may already know, it's tradition to gather at Grandma Edie and Grandpa John's house on Easter weekend for an egg/prize hunt.
The grandkids look forward to it every year!
Let the hunting begin!
The boys quickly figured out that the best prizes are under the bushes...
Hanging out with big brother...trying to grab his goods!
Timmy was all smiles until Sport said, "no, no" when he tried snatching up his chocolate...
Poor little guy!  He just wants to be big too.
Such girly girls!
They could hardly contain their excitement.
It didn't take them long to fill up their buckets!

I ended up with the "carry this for me, mom" duty...

 The gang with their loot!

After hunting for goodies, dad took the kid-Os for a ride on Grandpa John's 4wheeler...
That.was.awesome!
(Check out all the pretty blossoms :)
Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma for all the fun!
